Dear students, it is the reality of nature that without any perfection your lifestyle is miserable and always dependent on others. And when we talk about education, I always motivated you to complete your education. In 2021 education up to masters will be considered as primary. So, if you have to gain a successful countryman`s title then go for Ph.D. Ph.D. in educational excellence. As the need of the hour, every person has a wish to complete his education and reach up to excellence. At present world opens a new horizon and human is continuously moving towards the climax. Now the world is realizing that education is real power. As a mentor, I am happy to tell you that Govt. and HEC are very serious about educational excellence in Pakistan and can open a new chance for our youth.
Today I am talking about the Higher Education Commission’s new Ph.D. policy, which will take effect from January 1, 2021. According to this, Students can be able to now enroll in the Ph.D. program of their choice after B.S. (Hons). The Higher Education Commission of Pakistan has been changed the old policy for admission of Ph.D. in the public sector and private universities all over the country. After receiving the appropriate approval from the commission, a new policy document has been sent to the universities. That HEC revised Ph.D. The policy will take effect on January 1, 2021. And I recommend all of my students to join this program at any cost because that will be very fruitful for you as well as the nation. I always teach you that if a single person in Pakistan is well settled, that indirectly results in the progress of the whole country. And if a single person of the country is without any work, jobless, homeless that affect had bad consequences for the country`s economy. So, a Ph.D. person will be not only benefited himself but that also leads to the country in the heaven of success.
So, you have to go on the website of the HEC and read out all the information, and enroll yourself in a Ph.D. program. That must be compulsory and I will call you from my students and will ask you about your admission.
The main properties of that new policy, according to my understandings are;
- HEC has offered the power to universities to select BS (Hons) degree passed students directly in Ph.D.
- Under the new strategy, the university will have to get formal sanction from the HEC to begin two Ph.D. programs a year.
- In the new Ph.D. policy by HEC, BS (Hons) passed students can do Ph.D. in any subject yet for this the concerned colleges need to define their own set of accepted rules. The universities will have the option to maintain prerequisite of M. Phil and MS for admission to Ph.D. Be that as it may, universities must need approval. Yet, universities must seek approval from the Academic Council.
- Students looking for affirmation based on a BS (Hons) degree should have to study some extra subjects.
- A research supervisor will have the power to supervise a Ph.D. exposition of a limit of five researchers.
- If the Ph.D. Scholar succeeds in publishing his articles in the “X” category research Journal.
- The HEC sets at least three years and a limit of eight years to finish a PhD degree.
- However, colleges will be permitted two years for a time of over eight years.
- The HEC has explained that the greatest period for finishing a Ph.D. degree is ten years.
A mixed kind of review is circulating in the educational atmosphere of Pakistan. Some senior professors are against this, that it will affect the standard of research and also education. They have their own experience, but I think that is a very positive attitude of HEC. I am really happy that will be a milestone in the field of education, and youth will definitely learn to gain something new.
According to my view, transparency and standard setup must be arranged for every university. And this thing must have happened so that my youth will become Ph.D. doctors very soon.
